located behind the farmhouse: 800 sq ft. 2 bedrooms/ 1 bath. Sleeps 6
Sutherland Manor was built by Thomas Sutherland in 1807. The original homestead dates before that. With many historic log cabins, the home, and the land are an adventure back in time. Friendly animals are waiting to welcome you to the farm surrounded by hundreds of acres of family land and looking up at Elk Knob State Park. Sutherland Valley has been designated by the state of North Carolina as a Rural Historic District.
We are currently a cattle/hay farm with horses, dogs, cats, chickens and ducks!
Restoration continues on the manor house. Bathrooms and Pavillion in the works!
